Below are the results from Senator McConnaughay's 2017 Winter Survey. The survey conducted received over 450 responses.

A Message from Senator McConnaughay:

I would like to thank everyone who took the opportunity to participate in my 2017 Winter Survey. I sought your input on some of the most pressing issues currently facing the 33rd district and our state as a whole. With more than 450 people weighing in on my online survey, this was a great response! Your thoughts and concerns on these issues are what matter to me, and that is what I take into consideration as we seek to find the best solutions for Illinois.

I’ve posted the survey responses below, but I was particularly interested in the written responses I received to two issued-based questions included in the survey. When asked what they think the state’s top three priorities should be, most respondents identified the following priorities:

-A balanced budget

-Reducing taxes

-Fixing health care costs

-Funding education

When asked what state road in your area is in most need of improvement, most respondents identified the following roads:

-Route 47

-Route 31

-Route 25

-Route 28

-Route 20

-Route 72

-Huntley Road

-Randall Road
